Copenhagen Outsider Art Gallery is pleased to announce exhibition +15. It’s a group show starting December 4th, 2021. We can't wait to take viewers into the worlds and the minds of 4 wonderfully
talented self-taught artists - Jannik Jensen (Denmark), Mia Granhøj (Denmark), Howard Rains (USA) and Fabrizio Molinario (Italy).

We are very happy to introduce Jannik
Jensen
. With every art piece Jannik shows us not just incredible promise
but a peek into the dark fantastical world that he inhabits. Born in Denmark in 989, Jannik's first introduction to the paints was through his father
painting on porcelain and canvas. By 17, he started expressing himself on the canvas. Jannik's painting isn't the one you can see in a hurry. The elaborate world he creates demands your attention. He raises questions on how he sees himself and the world around him. Are the creatures in his artworks something you have seen before or other-worldly? He compels you to make your own stories.

Mia Granhøj is a Copenhagen based artist with focus on ceramic heads. They are often disfigured, turned inside out, exposed, fragile and uncomfortable to look at. But it is from this place of discomfort that she dares us to look inwards and reflect. What about the unpleasantness of the sculptures distresses us? Are we afraid to expose our real self to the world? Can we not find acceptance and ultimately freedom in our vulnerability? Earlier this year, Mia was named as 'one of the upcoming artists to keep an eye out for' and we couldn’t agree more!

Howard Rains is an American artist and fiddler living in Kansas. He creates
wonderful watercolour scenes of imaginary worlds, many headed monsters, oversized worms and intergalactic highways in his distinctive colourful palette. One yearns to step into his joyous world and take a trip around this vibrant universe.

Fabrizio Molinario decided to quit his job after serving the police force for 23 years to paint full time. Born in 1968, he has always lived and worked in the delightful city of Novara in the north of Italy. His scenes depict
everyday life and world outside with his distinctive distorted perspective
viewed from above. Even though the world is normal at the first glance it can turn a bit surreal to a more in depth analysis.

Exhibition opens Saturday,
December 4th, 2021, 11 am to 3 pm at Gl. Kongevej 35A, 1610 Copenhagen V.
