Kenneth Rasmussens mindre linoleumstryk.

Bikini season continues!

Friday 16
October 4 – 7 pm we open the doors for the autumn's first exhibition.

We have
been on a trip to Randers to visit the art school Bifrost, and we now have the
great pleasure of being able to show completely new artworks by Kenneth
Rasmussen. Kenneth is an extremely enterprising and diligent artist. He
crochets, makes linoleum prints, and works with clay. We have the pleasure of
being able to show works from all three genres.

Rasmussen
creates with his art, his very own universe. It is literally big; it is surprising,
and with a clear attitude to both political issues and comments on our everyday
life.

Kenneth
Rasmussen has developed his own designations for some of his characters. One of
them he calls a “Cjoerceboenck”.

The
ceramics we show are a mixture of humans and animals, which with their very own
"naughty" expression, call for both smiles and fascination. When we
last attended the Outsider art fair in Paris, there was an overwhelming
interest in Kenneth's ceramic figures, of which we had three large copies. We
managed to keep them together as a "family", which now has a good
home with a collector in Belgium.

As the
headline suggests, we also show a pair of Kenneth's oversized bikini tops,
which he crochets from old plastic bags. A larger collection of these has been
on tour in the north last year, and a complete king size bikini can be found at
a museum in the Netherlands. It was Kenneth's mother who taught him to crochet
and knit when he was a child, and since then his hands have always been busy
with something creative.

Last, and
in this case at least, we show a selection of Kenneth Rasmussen's smaller
linoleum prints. Kenneth may have made one of the largest prints there is,
which with has a size of 2 x 13 meters It requires a bit of a wall.

He has
developed a special technique for "mirroring" the writing in these
prints, but gradually he is so experienced in his cuts that he is able to write
in reverse.

Come by and
see the exhibition. We also show a small film where Kenneth himself talks
about his works. Here he gives a small example of his humor, which at the same
time gives a little hint about where he gets some of his inspiration from, for the
artworks he makes.

The
exhibition can be seen until November 27.

Looking forward to see you.
