Collection: Hans Jørn Henriksen
Hans Jørn Henriksen is an artist who produces both drawn and sculptural works. As Hans is blind, he often creates a template which he draws around, repeating the form indefinitely until the lines become condensed on the page and a darkness arises. Many of his drawn pieces are completed with a ballpoint pen on canvas.
His ceramic works bring corals or other living organisms to mind. Hans builds the pieces from the base up, rolling out clay between his hands and assembling the forms one on top of another. The pieces feel meditative and radiate a sense of calm.
