Henriette Ludvig (b. 1979) finds inspiration in studying the micro and macro scale; of the patterns and contexts that exist when you zoom all the way in on something and when you zoom all the way out again.

Under the bark of a tree, for example, or under a stone, or if you carefully pull a mushroom out of the ground, there is a whole underworld to dive into, where living organisms fight for life and death. They live at a different pace than us humans, and relate mostly to what they are surrounded by, and immediately struggle with space, just as we humans mostly relate to our own "pace world" and what is closest to us as individuals.

The other scale worlds only become visible to us humans when we e.g. looks through a microscope and tries to capture the war that is unfolding, the construction that also happens, and the interaction that exists between the living organisms.

Just as we humans signal to each other, both with the clothes we wrap ourselves in and the way we consume, with what we say and what we don't say, other organisms live with their own signals and ways of communicating and creating strategies for survival on.
