Collection: Kenneth Rasmussen

Kenneth Rasmussen (1972) was born in Aarhus. He has been a student on the Artschool Bifrost in Randers, since 2000. Bifrost is a school for people with special needs.

He works in a wealth of styles and materials, but it is linoleum, ceramic and knitting which he is particularly fond of working with.

His work often features elements of text, phallus symbols and people, whom he has a relation to, whether good or bad, direct or indirect. The text especially is an important component of Kenneth’s works here his imagination can fly freely. The artist makes up his own words and concepts, which in turn is added to hard-boiled statements and self-proclaimed good advice. The phallus symbols become patterns and fanciful growths when he wants them to. Kenneth sheds ideas like lizards shed skin. Kenneth are represented in Museums in Denmark and Holland, and have been part of exhibitions all over the world.
