Collection: Mia Granhøj

Mia is a Copenhagen based artist with focus on ceramic heads. They are often disfigured, turned inside out, exposed, fragile and uncomfortable to look at. But it is from this place of discomfort that she dares us to look inwards and reflect. What about the unpleasantness of the sculptures distresses us? Are we afraid to expose our real self to the world? Can we not find acceptance and ultimately freedom in our vulnerability?
