Michael Rasmussens udgangspunkt er en dyb og gammel fascination af konstruktioner og arkitektur, som han beskriver på alle tænkelige måder og udformer til abstrakte rumlige objekter, tryk og tegninger.

Michael arbejder ofte med skrot og ståltråd, som han med stor originalitet og tålmodighed bevikler med uldgarn. Når han udtrykker sig todimensionelt, arbejder han i enkle, stærke flader.

Michael har været kunstner på Kunstskolen Snurretoppen i Horsens siden 2005.

Er aktuel i dokumentarserien "Fis i Paletten" på TV SYD PLAY.

Michael Rasmussen’s starting point was a deep fascination of houses, which he shaped and described in every thinkable way. 

In time the concept “house” became more abstract and developed into original 3 dimensional objects. Now there are no limits for the subjects and motives. Michael fabulates freely in an area between his imagination and the materials and objects there’s available.

He works in scrap and iron wire, and wraps them with yarn.

The materials comes from junkyards and what friends and family gives.
